, you will plan, design, and control projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional site plans with grading, layout, and utility design.
Planning, organizing, designing and controlling activities of assigned projects while operating within established schedules, budgets and QA/QC policy constraints. Typical projects include design of site plans, grading, land development utilities, and related engineering computations.
Responsibilities- Support project team in preparing professional, economical, and effective plans and specifications.
- Conduct engineering computations for complex projects.
- Communicate directly with governmental/regulatory staff and represent clients at hearings or meetings.
- Perform overall quality control of work and report project status to the Project Manager.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Design concept of plans and specifications.
- Consult and advise field engineers, contractors, and inspectors during construction.
- Communicate with the Project Manager on strategy and matters impacting the project.
- Assist in preparation of project proposals, including scope, schedule and manpower estimates.
- Promote new business for the company and for your area of expertise.
- BS in Civil Engineering (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of experience or Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Sound mathematical skills.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
Work is performed in both office and field settings. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather. Hours are flexible and may change based on project schedules. Frequent site visits may be necessary. A criminal background check and driving record check will be conducted.
