Maine Health is seeking a Nursing Unit Secretary to support our P2C Unit, an 18-bed medical telemetry inpatient unit. In this essential role, you will serve as the central communication hub for the unit—supporting clinical staff, greeting patients and visitors, coordinating information flow, and helping ensure the unit operates smoothly and efficiently.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys being a key part of a collaborative care team.
Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Three 8-hour shifts per week (24 hours total)
Self-scheduling is utilized, with staff rotating priority for sign-ups during each scheduling block
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary communication point for the unit
- Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors
- Answer phones and manage call systems
- Coordinate information between nursing staff, providers, and ancillary departments
- Maintain accurate unit records and documentation
- Support daily unit operations to promote efficient patient care

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)- Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred. - License/
Certifications:
Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location. - Experience:
