Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in an expanding service line, with a focus on delivering exceptional respiratory care in a tertiary teaching hospital environment. This position arises due to the retirement of two staff members, contributing to an overall vacancy of 30 positions and the establishment of a third Surgical ICU.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to a diverse patient population in various units.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in critical and acute care settings.
  • Administer therapies, set up ventilators, and monitor patient progress.
  • Participate in float assignments, covering NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, and emergency departments as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital environment.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
    Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU preferred.
  • Experience with various respiratory care equipment, including ventilators such as Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, and others.
