Lights Out Gallery is working with artists to build and support community in Western Maine. By partnering with the local/state art community, the VISTA will raise awareness of our plan to build a community center that includes a co-working space, dance studio and maker space as well as an art gallery to boost the economic value and provide opportunities for access to high-speed internet and equipment that is not accessible to many in rural Maine, and organize the Norway Maine Arts Festival.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will help build and sustain a community coworking space that expands economic opportunity in Western Maine. They will develop systems to recruit and engage a base of volunteers and donors, support targeted fundraising efforts, and strengthen digital outreach through Instagram, Facebook, and email. By crafting compelling content and evaluating engagement strategies, VISTA will help grow our statewide and national visibility.

They will also assist with grant writing and reporting by gathering impact data and stories that demonstrate progress. This work will lay the foundation for long-term sustainability and deeper community impact.
