The Maine Health Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program is seeking a part-time (20 hrs. wk.)Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Associate/Physician Assistant (PA).This rewarding position is located at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, and offers the opportunity to work and collaborate with an experienced and cohesive CF team including physician specialists, RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Dieticians, and other professionals.

The Adult CF Program at Maine Medical Center is one of only two specialized and accredited programs in the state of Maine offering acute and ongoing multidisciplinary care to adults with cystic fibrosis. The position requires at least two years of experience in an internal medicine or hospital setting, and a commitment to ongoing learning. Duties will include inpatient and outpatient assessment and treatment, patient education, patient triage, and care planning with the CF Team.

The successful candidate will be available 2.5 days per week during daytime hours, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. No call coverage is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required;
  Master's Degree required in Nursing as an Acute Care Practitioner or Physician Associate/Physician Assistant.
• Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
• Skill in case management, time management, problem solving, crisis intervention, multitasking and other organizational matters.
• Strong computer skills with skill in using computerized health information management system.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
