Travel RN – IMC Neuro (Nights)

Portland, ME | Intermediate Care (IMC)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirements

• Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Neuro/Ortho/Trauma intermediate care unit serving neurosurgical and neurological patient populations
• Care for patients with conditions including spinal surgery, spine fractures, brain tumors, seizure disorders, VP shunts, head bleeds, traumatic injuries, and joint replacement surgery
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 on days and 1:5–6 on nights in accordance with unit standards
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Function as a proactive team player, maintaining a positive and professional presence on the unit

• Active RN license in the state of Maine or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Neuro and/or Neurosurgery experience required
• IMC/Stepdown/PCU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

• Experience caring for neurosurgical patients including spinal and cranial surgical cases
• Familiarity with VP shunt management, seizure protocols, and traumatic brain injury care
• Experience in a high-acuity intermediate care or stepdown setting

• Opportunity to work in a well-established, high-acuity neuro IMC unit with a diverse and complex patient population
• 13-week travel contract with a projected start date in October 2026, offering a defined and structured assignment timeline
