American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry Float RN for a night shift position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and telemetry interpretation skills.

• Float pool position covering Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units within the facility
• Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30
• Unit sizes vary, ranging from 15 beds to 40+ beds depending on assignment
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 on nights, with possibility of 1:6 when stretched
• Uses Abbott Plum infusion pumps
• Charts in EPIC EMR
• No call requirements
• Floats to different units every shift based on need

• Active RN license (State of Maine or compact) required
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years inpatient acute care hospital experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required, preferably at a 500+ bed facility
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Minimum 1 year travel experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

• Provide nursing care across multiple Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units as part of the float pool
• Flexibility is essential given the variable floating assignments and unit needs
• Day 1 onboarding includes education modules assigned by the facility's Education Department
• Scrubs may be any color as long as they are clean and professional; jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and shoes with holes are not permitted
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any affiliated facility are considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
• First-time travelers with prior float pool experience are encouraged to apply
