Position SummaryDal‑Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Sales Representative to join our team. The role involves conducting weekly sales calls, preparing reports, and performing market analysis for top accounts in the region.
Primary ObjectiveIncrease market share and sales for the Dal‑Tile SBU in the prescribed region/area. Expand the account base by servicing existing customers and conducting cold calling.
Major Functions and Responsibilities- Conduct weekly sales calls (average 4–5 cold calls per week) with existing and prospective customers.
- Prepare weekly sales and call reports.
- Develop monthly strategy for sales calls and create a travel calendar based on that strategy.
- Conduct area market analysis of top accounts in each region, including top dealers, contractors, and builders.
- Research area market product data to identify the types, styles, and sizes most commonly purchased.
- Grow market share by increasing sales and volume while maintaining company‑approved product margin goals.
- Complete Positive Action Forms for all cold calls resulting in a display, rack, and/or sale.
- Utilize influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customers' showrooms.
- Conduct client follow‑ups via phone, letters, and/or email.
- Establish and maintain client files and perform timely follow‑up on programs and projects.
- Provide PK seminars to customers.
- Utilize On‑Demand reporting to achieve sales objectives.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma; some college coursework highly preferred.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes/email).
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
- Minimum four years of prior selling experience; customer service experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently in an unstructured, unsupervised environment.
- Self‑motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Independently exercise judgment with solid time‑management and organizational skills.
