Engineering Manager – Embedded Linux

We are hiring a Technical Engineering Manager to shape the future of Linux for embedded, automotive, and aviation markets.

• Lead a distributed team of software developers across CPU architectures (ARM, RISC‑V, x86).
• Define architecture, roadmap, and deliver high‑quality Ubuntu Core system software.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and grow engineering talent.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize features and set expectations.
• Advocate modern agile practices, foster healthy engineering culture, and evangelize best practices.

• Embedded software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Golang, C++, and Shell.
• Solid understanding of Linux, preferably Debian or Ubuntu.
• Track record of planning and delivering high‑quality software on time.
• Experience in an agile environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Experience with immutable Linux distributions like Ubuntu Core.
• Experience with ARM and RISC‑V architectures.
• Knowledge of Linux native containerization and security.
