Position Overview
The A P Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as various inspections on general aviation, turbo prop, and corporate business jet aircraft including Pilatus, Citation, and King Air. Also provides line maintenance for airlines at Portland International Jetport (PWM).
Available Shifts (Day and Night):
(4) 10 hour shifts, 4:30AM – 2:30 PM , 1 weekend day
Night shift incentive pay.
(4) 10 hour shifts, 2:30 PM - 12:30 AM, 1 weekend night
"On the job training" is provided by our experienced staff. Training through Pilatus is also provided based on proven job performance and a desire to participate.
Duties / Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Perform inspections.
- 5 to 10 years of experience as an A P certified mechanic with a diversity of experience in maintenance of PC-12s, King Air and CJ-525s, and PT-6 turbo prop engines.
- Current A P certification required.
- Strong background in Honeywell avionics products preferred.
- 2+ years of recent experience on Pilatus aircraft preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of all aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations and inspection procedures.
- Ability to lift aircraft batteries, starter generators, wheel and brake assemblies, up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to pass a DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational skills sets and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure and time constraints.
- Flexibility, as needed, to accommodate external and internal customer needs.
Ability to independently problem solve. - Possess excellent active listening skills.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to help NEA attain corporate goals.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.
