Driver - Class B

Responsible for pick-up and delivery between Service Centers and customers in a professional, safe, and timely manner. Tasks include operating straight trucks, securing freight, performing safety inspections, and maintaining documentation.

• Operate straight trucks and freight handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ensure timely deliveries while providing friendly customer service and soliciting new business.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, and ropes; load and unload trucks.
• Perform safety, pre-trip, and post-trip inspections; verify documentation and reports.
• Follow dispatch instructions, communicate delays or issues, and handle freight damage.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations, laws, and company policies.
• Collect freight charges, maintain records, and perform related duties as needed.

• Valid Class B CDL with hazardous materials and tank endorsements.
• At least one year of recent experience driving similar-sized vehicles or completion of a driver development course.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, read route schedules, and work independently or in a team.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and basic math skills.

Work outdoors and indoors, drive in various weather and road conditions, and be exposed to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Ability to sit, bend, twist, and climb in and out of trucks is required.
