Senior Business Solutions Manager at Ledgent Finance & Accounting I Strategic Staffing Partner

Ledgent is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our client's accounting team for year-end. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting and reconciliation experience. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and preparing year-end close activities.

$55.00/hr - $60.00/hr

• Analyze prior general ledger transactions to establish accurate starting balances before the ADP transition
• Review and reconcile monthly billing statements from all benefit vendors against payments issued
• Reconcile employee payments recorded in payroll with self-pay receipts to ensure accuracy
• Align employer-accrued payroll amounts with vendor payments to maintain proper balances
• Cross-check all payments and billed amounts against general ledger entries for consistency
• Record write-offs and allocate them appropriately across vendor accounts
• Validate COBRA, Retiree, and Subsidy payments against general ledger records
• Prepare and post journal entries necessary to close out the 2025 fiscal year

• Proven experience in accounting, payroll, and reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation
• Experience with payroll systems (ADP preferred)
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Hourly pay up to $60, commensurate with experience
