$26.00/hr - $29.00/hr

The Junior Staff Accountant will support the Accounting team in all accounting functions to include but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor maintenance, customer maintenance and miscellaneous office support.

• Prepare daily accounts receivable cash application, partnering with customers to resolve accounts receivable related inquiries.
• Credit collections on accounts past due.
• Maintain customer database for name and address changes, taxable or non‑taxable.
• Track and process daily bank activity, apply transactions to the appropriate accounts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain up‑to‑date cash balances.
• Accounts payable function, such as review of proper invoice approval, invoice entry, disbursement preparation as well as connecting with vendors on inquiries and payment resolution.
• Prepare information requests within Internal Finance and other departments and respond to external information requests as needed.
• Maintenance of accounting systems for financial transactions.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly customer statement reconciliations relating to accounts receivables & chargebacks.
• Work cross‑functionally with other departments in the organization to drive efficiency in the chargeback and accounts receivable process.
• Support the general ledger team with special projects and ad hoc requests.
• Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records.
• Communicate discrepancies and problems immediately.

Not everyone can be a Junior Staff Accountant. To be seriously considered for the role here is what you’ll bring:

• 1‑3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience or a total equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or similar field.

• Demonstrated proficiency in excel spreadsheets.
• Proficient in MS Office applications & ability to thrive in a digital working environment.
• Highly organized and detail oriented; excellent follow through on assigned tasks.
• Self‑starter with a growth mindset and an eye toward process efficiency.
• Team player with a positive attitude; willing to collaborate and learn from others.

• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
