Description
Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting the accounting department with various daily accounting activities, including accurately and promptly processing accounts payables, accounts receivables, bank reconciliations, and assisting with accurately tracking, researching, and processing resident move‑outs.

Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)
Workdays:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- Work closely with and support Accountants on day‑to‑day tasks and ad‑hoc requests.
- Serve as the point of contact for on‑site staff for ledger adjustments.
- Process, review, and track move‑outs; verify resident information, research and manage revisions, stop‑payments, check reissue requests, and revise move‑out documents as required.
- Assist with depositing all payments received into resident/tenant ledgers, research and follow‑up on accounts‑receivable questions, and review and research delinquent reports.
- Audit lease documents and ledgers for accuracy and completion.
- Assist with the bank reconciliation process: download bank statements, compile PDFs, convert to signable forms, name files, and organize them in cloud storage.
- Six (6) months of experience in accounting or successful completion of an accounting course (preferred).
- Property management experience is strongly preferred.
- A strong work ethic with reliable attendance.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and a desire to learn.
- Ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, prioritize tasks with excellent organization and time‑management skills, and a curiosity to research and solve problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on a team and independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 with a strong foundation in Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Entrata, Skyline, or Yardi); experience in Entrata is a plus.
- High attention to detail while working under high‑pressure deadlines.
