Billing Analyst

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes while maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with internal teams, enhance operational workflows, and contribute to the integrity of our revenue recognition practices.

Responsibilities:

- Validate customer details, service data, and contractual terms to produce accurate, compliant invoices.

- Conduct proactive audits to minimize billing discrepancies and prevent client disputes.

- Prepare monthly revenue accruals in alignment with established accounting policies.

- Address billing issues promptly through thorough research and collaboration with relevant teams.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support audit trails and internal controls.

- Identify and recommend improvements to billing workflows and system processes.

- Participate in the testing and implementation of system updates and billing enhancements.

- Ensure secure handling of sensitive information and compliance with organizational standards.

- Respond to billing inquiries with timely, accurate data and communicate effectively with clients.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align billing with service delivery and contractual obligations. Requirements - Proven experience in billing functions, accounts receivable, or related fields.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Strong understanding of accounting operations and procedures.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.

- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.

- Experience using billing systems and tools to streamline operations.

- Strong communication skills for client and team interactions.

- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
