Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local business tax returns.
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Identify deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities for clients.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies and compliance requirements.
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audits.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and apply them to client filings.
• Use tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, Pro Series, Quick Books) for efficient processing.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in business tax preparation.
• CPA or EA certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Oregon state tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
