About the Opportunity (Confidential Client)

Valor Front has been retained by a well-capitalized, growth-oriented data center platform to recruit a Sales Director to build and monetize a new colocation and interconnection business line in Portland.

This is a “build it” commercial role with real assets and immediate upside: our client is launching a new multi-tenant colocation facility and acquiring a nearby carrier hotel with meaningful existing activity that has not been fully commercialized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial efforts across two Portland assets: a new multi-tenant co-location facility and a carrier hotel
  • Identify, map, and formalize existing carrier/connectivity activity—then convert it into contracted revenue
  • Establish and negotiate agreements with active carriers and connectivity partners
  • Engage tenants, carriers, cloud providers, and ecosystem partners to develop monetizable interconnection services
  • Drive new logo acquisition and recurring revenue growth
  • Support future co-location go-to-market initiatives as the platform expands
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
  • 2–5+ years negotiating carrier/connectivity/interconnection contracts
  • Strong understanding of the carrier ecosystem, interconnection dynamics, and colocation commercial models
  • Ability to operate hands‑on in a fiber‑dense, technically complex environment
  • Strong customer presence: relationship‑driven seller with technical credibility
  • Ideal backgrounds include:
  • Carrier/telco account management with interconnection experience
  • Data center–adjacent commercial leaders ready to step into an ownership role
Compensation

Competitive compensation package aligned to the senior IC Sales Director level (base + variable). Details shared during the interview process.
