About Straub Collaborative

Straub Collaborative is a creative production studio specializing in e-commerce photography and visual content. Our work brings together creative talent, production expertise, and the business operations that keep it all moving. We value collaboration, high-quality work, and an inclusive workplace.

About the Role

Behind every publish-ready commercial image is high-level technical precision: expert retouching, clean paths, and color corrected to both pleasing and critical standards. As our Digital Retoucher Level 3, you will take ownership of advanced retouching, clipping paths, product shaping, and critical color consistency for Straub Collaborative.

In this role you will execute high-level Photoshop workflows, ensure quality control against client style guides, and help train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 retouchers. If you enjoy mastering the details of high-volume digital imagery and helping other artists grow, this role gives you room to do both.

Why This Role

Behind every great product image is a team that brings it to life. Own the craft behind the final frame—driving critical color, complex product shaping, and deliverable quality well beyond routine edits. Here, you will bring pixel-perfect precision to a fast-paced studio where creative talent and production scale come together.

What You'll Do
Post Production Execution & Quality Control
  • Complete post production work that meets the quality, accuracy, and output goals set by Post Management and the client's style guide.
  • Perform quality control on all assigned work and create the specified deliverable files before items are posted to the server.
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud tools to silhouette product, complete expert-level retouch, create quick and accurate clipping paths, mask and shape products, color correct to "pleasing" and "critical" standards, and create and run advanced actions.
Team Support & Mentorship
  • Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 Post Operators as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the team (which includes intercompany and outside partners) and provide team support and feedback for continuous improvement.
Workflow & Studio Operations
  • Plan and manage daily assignments by comparing internal and external due dates against workload.
  • Request more resources early enough to meet deadlines when the assigned resources aren't enough.
  • Track time against projected hours and update the job spreadsheet's time tracker daily.
  • Keep an organized, clean workspace and follow studio cleanliness rules.
  • Submit company forms and time-off requests by their deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Post Production Manager or Post Production Director.
What You Bring
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of post production retouching experience.
  • 2 years of critical color experience, including matching to client color references and keeping color consistent across multiple images.
  • Advanced skill in Adobe Photoshop, including retouching, pathing, blending modes, alpha masks, color correction, and creating and running actions.
  • Advanced skill in shaping products for form and figure.
  • Working knowledge of file formats and color profiles used to work on and deliver files.
  • Working knowledge of file servers and web-based data management tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of macOS, including basic troubleshooting.
  • Communicates clearly and accurately in person, on Teams, by phone, and by email, and keeps others informed.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, and knows when to upscale an issue.
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Handles frequent interruptions and adapts to changes in workload and schedule.
  • Stays calm, respectful, and collaborative, including when working through conflict.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to prioritize and complete multiple projects.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English to understand client style guides and job specifications; basic math skills required.
