RoleThe Customer Service Representative is responsible for the order fulfillment process from customer purchase order receipt to releasing orders for shipment, and for fielding inquiries and support requests from customers, sales, and other internal groups. This role also ensures the accuracy of customer requests and on-time delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing- Adhere to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Utilize the ERP system to create customer orders, confirm and apply pricing, answer inquiries, and follow up on order status.
- Review inventory and future production plans to determine product availability and meet customer-requested availability dates.
- When inventory is available, release orders for shipment by communicating with the customer, shipping team, or transportation carriers.
- Advise the customer of order status at multiple phases of order fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of company-manufactured and ancillary roofing products and the roofing industry to provide customers with accurate information and advice.
- Listen to customer needs, demonstrate empathy, and use critical thinking to solve situations.
- A bachelor's degree in business or supply chain is preferred, with two to three years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- At least five years of experience in a customer service/fulfillment role in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with MS Office and MS Dynamics AX.
- Ability to work on complex projects and interact professionally with all levels of management.
