Join to apply for the Architect-Intermediate (Data Centers) role at Jacobs
. This is a hybrid all US location opportunity, allowing candidates to work remotely and report into a local Jacobs office for team meetings and collaboration. This role involves researching, programming, planning, designing, and administering building projects for clients in industries including data centers, commercial, and advanced manufacturing, applying knowledge of architectural design, building codes, and building systems. You’ll mentor other professionals and work closely with technical and engineering discipline leads to understand design intent and goals.

This role supports the execution of projects from planning through construction administration and close-out, maintaining firm-wide quality standards and collaborating with technical leadership to deliver successful implementations across various building design projects.

Responsibilities
  • Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients in various industries (examples include data centers, commercial and advanced manufacturing).
  • Apply knowledge of architectural design, zoning, building codes, and building systems and materials.
  • Mentor other professionals including less experienced Architects and Designers, working closely with technical and engineering discipline leads.
  • Deliver excellence in all project phases from planning through construction administration and close-out, upholding firm-wide quality standards.
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to understand design intent and goals for successful implementation.
  • Support teams across multiple offices and locations as part of Jacobs’ Global Integrated Delivery approach.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor in Architecture from an accredited Architectural Program
  • 5 years of professional experience, including strong Revit skills
  • Professional Architectural License and ability to be licensed in multiple states
  • Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Extensive experience with building codes and related regulations
  • Understanding of scopes of work, developing budgets, and reviewing schedules
  • Ability to work well across multiple teams and lead small architectural teams
  • Ability to travel to project sites in the US
Preferred qualifications
  • Masters in Architecture
  • Experience with designing advanced facilities (Data Centers, Life Science, or similar industrial facilities with office environments)
  • Participation in professional organizations
  • LEED AP credentials

This range is provided by Jacobs. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range
$74,700.00/yr - $98,025.00/yr

The base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $98,025.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
