Drafter

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Drafter role in Portland, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.

• Produce detailed shop fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and Mastercam software.
• Program CNC machinery by writing accurate Mastercam code.
• Interpret architectural and interior design blueprints or renderings to generate accurate and buildable shop drawings.
• Utilize software shortcut features and efficiencies to streamline drafting and programming tasks.
• Apply knowledge of architectural woodworking and detailing to ensure precision and quality.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-production environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with project managers and shop staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design or programming issues independently.
• Ensure all work meets company standards for quality, safety, and timeliness.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with AutoCAD software.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Mastercam software, including CNC programming.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and renderings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work scheduled hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (with overtime as project timelines determine).
• Preferred but not required: Cabinet making shop experience.
