Staff Product Designer role e pay range: $/yr - $/yr

This is a senior product design role focused on leading design work across a growing, remote-first software company that builds AI-powered talent and hiring software. You will work with product and engineering teams to design systems, interfaces, and experiences that scale with the product and customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake.

The team emphasizes design collaboration, product thinking, and building a scalable design system from early stages.
Your Qualifications- 10+ years of product design experience, with the majority in desktop SaaS
- Able to take large, ambiguous projects and break them into actionable parts
- Experience describing patterns of high-performing design teams and creating environments of high performance
- Ability to influence engineering, product, and the broader company through design leadership
- Ability to create standards and principles to improve design quality across the product org
- Strong first-principles thinking beyond standard UX processes
- Intuition to solve usability problems without relying solely on data or user research
- Curiosity and resourcefulness to devise creative, de-risked solutions
- Excellent skills in layout, navigation, IA, UI, and interaction design
- Obsessive attention to craft and details
- Experience at an early-stage startup or as a solo designer on a team

On a Weekly Basis You Will Find Yourself
- Consulting with engineers on layout, typography, flows, etc.
- Gaining insights from GTM and customer conversations to inform proposals
- Using Figma to create visuals for stakeholder alignment
- Writing specifications to align stakeholders on major design decisions
- Taking ownership of larger product features and considering JTBD, IA, navigation, layout, and interactions
- Incorporating customer feedback and building a usability backlog
- Refining and consolidating the design system for functionality and aesthetics
Four rounds with some casual Zoom time in between to get to know each other. Process includes:
- 30-minute intro call
- 45-minute portfolio review
- 135-minute design exercise and portfolio deep dive with the CEO
- 90-minute meet the team and app teardown
You’ll meet engineers and product managers as part of the process. Feedback is provided if there isn’t an offer.
