Department OverviewOregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Department of Diagnostic Radiology is seeking a full‑time faculty member for our Neuroradiology Section. Appointment will be at the level of assistant, associate or full professor, depending upon qualifications. As the only academic medical center in the state of Oregon, OHSU provides a full spectrum of care to a large and diverse population. The Neuroradiology section covers the OHSU Hospital as well as the connected Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, the connected Portland VA Medical Center, and two community‑based outpatient imaging centers.
The department has state‑of‑the‑art imaging equipment and sees patients with a wide mix of complexity and pathology. Academic activities within the section are centered on the promotion of excellence in the evidence‑based application, performance, and interpretation of Neuroradiology Imaging.
Clinical responsibilities will include interpretation of all aspects of neuroradiology including brain, spine, ENT, pediatric neuroimaging, fMRI, DTI and perfusion studies. Collegial interdisciplinary conferences and tumor boards are staffed by neuroradiologists. Educational responsibilities and opportunities include teaching at all levels commensurate with a large academic center – medical student, resident and fellow training. The ideal candidate must be Board certified or Board eligible in Radiology, have completed a Neuroradiology Fellowship, and be eligible to obtain an Oregon Medical License.
Required Qualifications- A board certifying eligible after passing the A Core Exam and successful completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency.
- International Medical Graduates are eligible provided they have a valid ECFMG certificate, have completed an ACGME‑accredited residency and A Core Exam, or are otherwise board‑eligible through the A IMG Alternate Pathway program.
- Candidates who have recently matched for fellowship, as well as those with expertise and fellowship training in other subspecialties of radiology, are encouraged to apply.
