Position OverviewAs the Hospice Medical Director , you will provide clinical leadership and medical oversight for our hospice program, ensuring that we deliver patient-centered end-of-life care in compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity for growth as our program expands.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership- Evaluate patient eligibility for hospice care.
- Certify individuals meet medical criteria for admission and ongoing recertification.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group (IDG) to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide medical oversight and support to hospice staff.
- Conduct home visits for patient evaluation and care when necessary.
- Ensure consistent delivery and coordination of hospice medical services.
- Engage in quality improvement efforts to enhance patient care and safety.
- Participate in the creation and revision of patient care policies.
- Participate in family meetings to educate patients and families on medical conditions.
- Consult with the patient’s primary care physician as needed.
- Licensed MD/DO in Oregon (unrestricted).
- Experience in hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, or related field preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine is a plus.
- Initial Role: Stipend/Per-Diem with highly flexible scheduling.
