As the Hospice Medical Director , you will provide clinical leadership and medical oversight for our hospice program, ensuring that we deliver patient-centered end-of-life care in compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity for growth as our program expands.

• Evaluate patient eligibility for hospice care.
• Certify individuals meet medical criteria for admission and ongoing recertification.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group (IDG) to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide medical oversight and support to hospice staff.
• Conduct home visits for patient evaluation and care when necessary.

• Ensure consistent delivery and coordination of hospice medical services.
• Engage in quality improvement efforts to enhance patient care and safety.
• Participate in the creation and revision of patient care policies.

• Participate in family meetings to educate patients and families on medical conditions.
• Consult with the patient’s primary care physician as needed.

• Licensed MD/DO in Oregon (unrestricted).
• Experience in hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine is a plus.

• Initial Role: Stipend/Per-Diem with highly flexible scheduling.
