Position SummaryUniversity Honors College at Portland State University invites applicants to apply for an adjunct faculty position in the Natural or Health Sciences for 2024-25. We are looking for an instructor to teach 1-3 sections of HON 203 Urban Ecology, our research methods course in the Natural Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications- Masters degree in the Natural or Health Sciences.
- At least three years of teaching experience at the college level.
- Expertise in the teaching and support of scholarly research writing.
- Documented excellence in teaching large and small undergraduate classes in the candidate’s field of study.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Ph.D. in the Natural or Health Sciences
- Interdisciplinary expertise.
- Creates an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates differences.
- Functions and communicates effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities and cultural backgrounds.
- Seeks opportunities to gain experience working and collaborating in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings with a willingness to change for continual improvement.

Compensation$1,271 per credit hour taught
