FTE position for a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) for Fall 2025 in the University Studies (UNST) Peer Mentor Program. This position runs Oct. 16 – Dec. 15, 2025, and the GTA hired for this opportunity would then be on the Waitlist for new openings that might become available in Winter or Spring terms.
We are currently seeking a graduate student from a PSU college and major who is currently enrolled in a degree-seeking graduate program. Certificate-only students, post-bac students, and students in the OHSU/PSU dual enrollment program are not eligible. Applicants will need to meet the position criteria and demonstrate a range of skills necessary for supporting students in UNST Sophomore Inquiry (SINQ) courses and in related mentored-inquiry sessions.
The candidate hired will be offered immediate support to begin the position with individualized support meetings from the administrative director and program GAA, training via a New Hire training course on Canvas for new mentors, and additional support with mentor program resources for a course that is already in progress.
