Position: Business/Sports Marketing Classroom Teacher
Reports To: Building Principal and Superintendent(s)
Type Position: Exempt
Coaching Positions available at MHS:
- Assistant Varsity football coach
- Assistant Varsity boys basketball coach
Qualifications:
- Certification from the state of Missouri to teach
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
The Teacher is responsible for all educational instruction which will foster and accelerate their academic, intellectual, physical, social and career development.
Other requirements –
Must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the Board of Education.
Ability to complete tasks in a discrete and confidential manner.
JOB GOAL:
To Carry out the implementation of district approved curriculum, be professional, and successfully comply with evaluation criteria as carried out by district administration and district initiatives.

Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
Primary Responsibilities- Become familiar with, enforce and follow all Board policies, regulations, administrative procedures, other directions given by district administrators and state and federal laws as they affect the performance of job duties.
- Consistent and regular attendance. Come to work and leave work at the time specified by the employee handbook or by the employee’s supervisor.
- Implement instructional activities that contribute to a positive environment where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and needs.
- Assist in assessments and changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
- Ensure student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
- Participate in training opportunities as established by District Administration and Title I instructors.
- Follow and abide by District adopted curriculum and pacing guides appropriately, as directed by District Administration.
- Maintain - Courteous and professional relationships with pupils, parents/guardians, teachers and other employees of the district and all patrons of the district.
- Organization - Keeps track of assignments, due dates and completion of assignments.
Tasks are organized, prioritized, and planned out. Materials, equipment, and work area are clean, organized, and ready.
- Performance – Clerical duties as directed.
- Professionalism – Represents district and board values in daily work and interactions. Follows through appropriately and keeps his or her word. Demonstrates consideration and respect for others.
