Afghan Support Network (ASN) is seeking an Islamic Tarbiya Teacher to guide students in understanding the moral, ethical, and spiritual teachings of Islam. The teacher will provide age-appropriate lessons that promote respect, kindness, honesty, and responsibility while helping students connect Islamic values with daily life. The position reports directly to Youth Program Coordinator and is a part-time position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Teach Islamic Tarbiya (moral and character education) classes for 3.5 hours per week (Saturdays).
- Prepare and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons on Islamic values and practices.
- Encourage students to apply Islamic teachings in daily life and community involvement.
- Create a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with the Youth Program Coordinator regarding student progress.
- Participate in school field trips, events, and community programs.
- Strong knowledge of Islamic teachings and principles.
- Prior experience teaching or mentoring youth (preferred).
- Ability to communicate effectively in Dari, Pashto, and/or English.
- Strong moral character and commitment to modeling Islamic values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for youth development and community service.
