Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and experienced Teachers Aide to join our team! You will assist in leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs. Daily tasks will include: preparing meals, assisting with toileting and bathroom breaks, supporting the lead classroom teacher in creating and implementing strategies based on specific academic or emotional goals, and ensuring the classroom space is ready for the students

Responsibilities

Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum

Teach beginning reading and math skills

Assist children with developing social and emotional skills

Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques

Communicate with parents and other school personnel

Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones

Qualifications

At least 1 year consecutive experience in a childcare/preschool setting

Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

Familiarity with play based learning and emergent curriculum a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

We use an app called Brightwheel to communicate with our familes and staff

Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

All licensing certifications up to date: C  enrollment, CPR/First Aid, food handlers card, and other required trainings.

Willingness for continued education is a must!
