Work alongside other passionate individuals to support and enrich the lives of our children and families in our community. The YMCA is currently hiring part-time and full-time Teacher Aides.
The Southeast Family YMCA is an approved Pilot Site for Preschool For All starting in Fall 2024. Preschool For All is a Multnomah County funded program aiming to connect 3 and 4-year-olds with free, culturally responsive, inclusive preschool experiences.

A Teacher will work under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and Site Director. Responsibilities include assisting in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community.
Requirements- Pass a YMCA Background Check
- Meet all Teacher's Aide or Teacher standards as dictated by Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care and Preschool for All, including reaching Step 4 or higher in the Oregon Registry (please include this with your application if possible)
- Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
