This position is not a specific opening but a Part‑time Faculty Interest Pool for music. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part‑time faculty. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full‑term class assignments.

Instructor Qualifications- Master’s degree or higher in Music (MM, MS, MA, PhD, or DMA)
- For Music Theory and Sight Singing/Ear Training courses (MUS 111, 111C, 112, 112C, 113, 113C, 211A, 211B, 212, 212B, 213, 213B):
Minimum of six graduate quarter credits in music theory - For Music performance and applied music lesson courses (MUS 131, 153A‑C, 158A‑F, 195A‑F, 220A‑F, 221A‑F):
- Master’s degree or higher in Music (MM, MS, MA, PhD, or DMA)
- or Equivalent professional experience (six or more years) performing, conducting, recording and/or teaching
- For Music Technology courses (MUS 170, 171, 172):
- Master’s degree or higher in Music (MM, MS, MA, PhD, or DMA)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in music engineering, mixing, mastering, sound design or production
- Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for degrees stated in qualifications.
- Transcripts from regionally accredited US institutions or foreign institutions with equivalent accreditation. Transcripts from other countries to be evaluated by accredited agencies.

Part‑time faculty may be eligible for Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans. Hourly rates depend on the type of course taught. New hires start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. For more details see https://.
