Join BW Design Group as a Senior Controls Engineer focused on packaging automation. You will work in one of our 45 U.S. offices with a team of over 1500 professionals.

• Develop automation solutions and support all project phases: design specifications, software configuration, testing, commissioning, and start‑up of high‑speed and other automated manufacturing processes.
• Design control systems and create project documentation and drawings to meet client requirements.
• Diagnose automation problems and interface with teams, clients, and vendors.
• Configure PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA (Factory Talk, Cimplicity, Wonderware, Ignition).
• Manage engineering projects, deliverables, site construction, installation, start‑up support, and system validation following established protocols.

• Minimum 7+ years as a controls engineer on automated processes/system integration in a food, beverage, consumer health product, or other industrial manufacturing environment.
• 5+ of the 7 years as a packaging controls engineer on high‑speed packaging lines.
• Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, industrial control panel design (UL508A), instrumentation, engineering documentation (P&IDs, flow diagrams, SOPs).
• Experience configuring field instrumentation, control system installation, and machine safety applications.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication.
• Willingness to travel for project requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or related technical field (preferred).
