The Product Configuration Specialist role at Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) supports product configurable options for our Pre‑Engineered Product offers. As part of the Products team, you will coordinate directly with Product Engineering to manage predetermined options for standardized products.

Responsibilities- Create configurable design packages and bills of materials for low‑voltage pre‑engineered products in coordination with Product Engineering, Sales, and Applications teams.
- Maintain organization of modular electrical and mechanical design packages.
- Update engineering records and load new configuration’s BOMs into the ERP system.
- Coordinate design production releases with Operations, Process Engineering, Production Leads, Planning, Procurement, and Quality.
- Collaborate with vendors for product maintenance, including component obsolescence and redesign, and coordinate action plans with internal teams.
- Keep accurate records of design configurations and BOM updates.
- Utilize engineering change management and revision control procedures.
- Update technical product documentation.
- Familiarity with electrical distribution products.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Minimum of a 2‑year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a related science field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the power distribution equipment or closely related industry, preferably with low‑voltage panel boards, switchboards, or switch gear.
