Responsibilities- Planning, accomplishing, and leading site characterization programs for challenging projects;
- Completing geotechnical engineering analyses for site development, buildings, bridges, landslides and roads;
- Providing in-depth seismic hazards evaluations;
- Managing, mentoring, and training field staff to ensure quality data collection, technical growth, and adherence to safety and project standards.
- Collaborating closely with civil, structural, and environmental teams to develop integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions for clients.
- Develop a professional presence in our regional community through participation in professional organizations, through interaction with key clients, and through client development.

- B.S. Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis
- M.S. Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis (preferred)
- 9+ years professional geotechnical engineering experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon or Washington
- Licensed Geotechnical Engineer (GE) in Oregon (preferred)
- Licensed Civil Engineer in California (preferred)
- Be results-oriented, flexible, and creative
- Experience with soil and rock classification, field exploration procedures and methods, earthwork and pavement construction observation, nuclear density testing, and laboratory testing procedures.
Apex offers mileage-based reimbursement for the use of personal vehicles. For positions requiring transportation, use of a personal vehicle may be required.
Annual Expected Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000 USD
