We are Tosoh Quartz, Inc. (TQI), the world’s leading manufacturer of quartz glassware for the semiconductor industry. We’re looking for an experienced Sourcing Engineer to support our industry-leading products here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc.
What You’ll Do- Lead initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities by optimizing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and driving supplier competition.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with internal and external suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliability.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Work closely with engineering, product development, manufacturing, and other departments to understand product requirements and ensure optimal sourcing strategies.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, supplier management, and cost control processes.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best terms in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and overall value.
- Conduct market analysis to stay informed on the latest trends in pricing, material availability, and sourcing best practices.
- Perform supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify cost drivers and develop sourcing strategies that reduce overall product costs.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with a focus on engineering and technical products.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Experience working with global suppliers and international sourcing strategies.
- Knowledge of and experience with Lean manufacturing principles and/or Six Sigma.
