Overview

Environmental Field Project Manager – Stack

Montrose Environmental Group is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead field testing activities, serve as the field management for the test team, plant contacts, regulatory contacts, and monitor client ownership. The role requires at least 2+ years of source testing experience and involves outdoor field work, coordination with clients and regulatory bodies, and leadership of field teams.

A Day in the Life

Begin your journey outdoors. Field Project Managers spend most of their time outdoors in a hardhat rather than in a cubicle. As a key member of the stack team, this role will be responsible for a full range of duties including:

  • Manage logistics of project resources with the logistics manager and office managers prior to field tests
  • Manage onsite schedule and coordinate with client plant contacts and regulatory contacts regarding scope changes
  • Oversee all daily field operations and safety aspects of site-specific stack programs
  • Review data and maintain field quality control
  • Ensure the field test team is adequately staffed; lead, train, and mentor field personnel
Your Expertise and Skills

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or degree in a related field
  • 2+ years minimum of stack testing experience
  • Advanced stack testing knowledge and QI credentials
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations
  • Capacity for overnight and local travel for multi-week projects up to 70% of the time
  • Flexibility to accommodate weekend travel or work on projects during the year
  • Ability to work in outdoor industrial settings, including climbing to elevated platforms (50 ft – 300 ft)
  • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to pass background checks and drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and OSHA Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluation
