Experienced Civil Engineer

Overview

A well-established engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineer with at least 4 years of experience to join its team in Portland.

This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse land development projects while taking on leadership responsibilities and growing professionally in a collaborative environment.
This full-time position is located in Portland, OR.

• Project Design & Development:
  Prepare site layouts, grading plans, utility designs, erosion control plans, and stormwater management solutions for commercial and industrial projects
• Project Oversight:
  Manage projects from initial concept to final construction, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the process
• Mentorship & Leadership:
  Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers, fostering a learning environment
• Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
  Communicate effectively with clients, city officials, and other key stakeholders to ensure project success
• Collaboration with Leadership:
  Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to oversee design and construction activities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Experience in land development for commercial and industrial projects preferred
• Familiarity with public works projects and local regulations
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Hydro
  
  CAD, HEC-RAS, Flowmaster, Autodesk Vehicle Turning, or Bluebeam software
• Experience working with local jurisdictions and permitting processes
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic team setting
