Mid-Senior CAD Technician at DKS Associates
Base Pay Range$81,200.00/yr - $98,100.00/yr

What will you be doing?- Develop and prepare detailed plans, profiles, and cross‑sections for transportation projects (traffic signals, lighting, signing/striping, temporary traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems, roadways, and intersections).
- Apply CAD standards, client requirements, and agency specifications (e.g., DOT, municipal).
- Review and incorporate survey data, field notes, and design markups into drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, planners, and project managers to meet deadlines and project goals.
- Assist in developing and enforcing CAD standards and workflows.
- Mentor junior staff and provide quality control reviews of drawings.
- Manage electronic files and ensure compliance with project documentation protocols.
- Provide technical support for all CAD software.
- 5+ years of experience in CAD drafting for civil/transportation projects.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and Micro Station.
- Experience with Civil 3D and/or Open Roads preferred.
- Strong understanding of transportation/traffic engineering concepts and plan development.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting/design, civil technology, or related field.
- Experience with agency standards (DOT, FHWA, municipal).
- Familiarity with 3D modeling/visualization tools.
