Process Engineering Support Technician

Location:

Hillsboro, Oregon.

Supports the business objectives of HTA’s Semiconductor Equipment Division (SED) related to sales of Reactive Ion Etch (RIE or Plasma Etch) equipment to the semiconductor industry. The main objective is to support the Process Engineering team by managing administrative and data‑centric tasks that improve engineering productivity through efficient job request handling, data collection, and reporting.

Position Summary

Supports the Process Engineering team by managing administrative and data-centric tasks that improve engineering productivity.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Create and manage job requests in coordination with Process Engineers.
  • Collect, organize, and validate process data from experiments and tool runs ensuring accuracy throughout.
  • Assemble data packages including charts, tables, and summaries for engineering review.
  • Maintain accurate records of job requests, data logs, and experiment metadata.
  • Support documentation efforts for internal reports and customer deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with engineering, lab operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Partner with the Process Engineering team to achieve operational goals, including experiment disposition and maintaining tool operations.
  • Support procedural improvement with management support.
Education, Licenses, and Certification Requirements
  • Associate degree in a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in related field (e.g., experience working with semiconductor facilities equipment and/or semiconductor manufacturing equipment, preferably in etch).
Experience and Travel Requirements
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of related experience working with various process engineering teams, preferably in the semiconductor field.
  • Minimum travel required.

Safety Requirements
  • Job‑related training.
  • Additional training to handle solvents, acids, bases, or compressed gases used in general lab operations or for maintenance.
Position – Safety Risks and Hazards
  • Various laboratory solvents (IPA, conducting adhesives, etc.)
  • Wet chemical handling.
Equipment Requirements
  • Clean room attire.
  • Cleanroom and chase personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Chemical PPE.
