Recruitment Consultant - Building Envelope and Structural Engineering

Structural Engineer - Mid Level

Locations: Portland, OR or Phoenix, Arizona

My client is looking for a mid-level Structural Engineer to join their Phoenix and Portland offices. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about engineering, eager to expand their technical skills, and enjoys working on a wide variety of building types and project scopes.

Base pay range

$110,000 – $130,000 per year

What You’ll Do:
  • Contribute to projects ranging from small-scale renovations to large, multidisciplinary developments.
  • Design and analyze structures using concrete, steel, wood, and masonry across diverse industries.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help guide their technical development.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial concept through construction completion.
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project leads throughout the design and build process.
  • Communicate directly with clients, municipalities, and other project stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 6-12 years of experience.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with commercial and industrial building design.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software such as RISA, RAM, ENERCALC.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • A collaborative mindset and a desire to grow professionally in a dynamic environment.
