Electrical Designer

This role prepares electrical drawings and performs basic design for electrical power, life safety, and telecommunications services connected to manufacturing tools. The work uses AutoCAD and appropriate electrical design criteria to support projects primarily in semiconductor manufacturing. You will coordinate directly with engineers and package design leads to balance workload and deliver design packages under tight deadlines.

PAY: $29.00/hr - $45.50/hr DOE

SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Use AutoCAD to prepare electrical drawings and perform basic design for electrical power, life safety, and telecommunications services connected to manufacturing tools.
• Apply electrical design criteria to one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and electrical plan-view drawings.
• Coordinate directly with engineers and package design leads to balance workload and deliver design packages, often under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate as part of a coordinated, multi-discipline team supporting projects primarily in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in electrical design and layout requirements, including one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and electrical plan-view drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, organization, and self-performance skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of situations, including a remote environment.

• Two-year associate degree in a relevant field, such as electrician, instrumentation and controls, or construction.
• Exposure to the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70/NEC).
• Experience in semiconductor or similar industrial facilities.

This is a hybrid position.

Candidates must reside within reasonable driving distance of at least one of the following locations:
Portland, OR;
Hillsboro, OR;
Corvallis, OR;
Tempe, AZ; or Pittsburgh, PA.

The role may require periodic travel to client sites. Site work requires field mobility, including walking for surveys, stairs, access platforms, and protective wear. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
