Responsibilities

Our OHSU client is seeking a new Parking Attendant Breaker – Driving for the Marquam Hill operation.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Successful candidate is an energetic, responsible and dependable self‑starter, breaking various garage attendants and/or valets. Basic function:
Ensure that an appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout shift, cars are parked appropriately, and the lot is kept clean and presentable.

  • Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
  • Count vehicles on location throughout shift.
  • Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
  • Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable.
  • Provide assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked.
  • Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
  • Assist customers by answering any questions and direct to Facility Manager if needed.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits.
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general tasks as directed.
  • Report accidents, violations, hazards or unusual occurrences to Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, spills to garage office.
  • Substitute for Valets when authorized.
  • Have thorough knowledge of garage and major streets, landmarks, freeways.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required:

Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination.

License Requirement: Valid state‑issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.

Availability to Work: Availability for second, third shift and/or weekends may be required.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read, comprehend, write simple instructions and communicate in one‑on‑one situations.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle money.

Appearance: Maintain neat, clean appearance and be in uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, balance and lift up to 25 lbs.

Experience: Previous customer service experience required; previous parking experience desired; ability to drive manual transmission preferred.

Salary

$18.00 per hour.
