Associate, Property Tax Compliance

KPMG US is seeking an Associate to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. This role is integral to our dynamic tax team, focusing on property tax compliance for multi‑state clients.

• Provide excellent client service to multi‑state companies with property tax compliance.
• Evaluate information presented on property tax returns before, during, and after preparation.
• Assist in property tax bill payment and return preparation using PTMS.
• Review assessment notices to identify any discrepancies.

• Minimum one year of recent experience in personal property tax compliance preparing property tax returns, bill payments and valuation notices using PTMS and/or accounts receivable or payables (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree or J.D., LL.M. in taxation, or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university required. Degree in accounting, finance, and/or real estate preferred.
• Solid understanding of Excel and working with large data sets with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with various other taxes and their impact on property tax.
• Strong knowledge of the development, planning, and execution related to property tax.
