- Managing and driving the entire tax process, including preparing, reviewing, and filing all federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Conducting detailed tax planning and research to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Analyzing accounting systems and procedures to recommend improvements for efficiency and compliance.
- Keeping abreast of current and new tax laws and their potential implications on the organization.
- Providing expert tax advice to internal teams and stakeholders to support strategic decision‑making.
- Assisting in internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Collaborating with other finance team members to streamline accounting functions and operations.
- Identifying potential tax credits or deductions to reduce overall tax liability.
- Preparing quarterly and annual tax forecasts to assist in budgeting and strategic planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required;
Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus. - Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with strong knowledge of state and local tax, tax planning, and tax review.
- Proficiency in tax software and other accounting tools.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, compliance issues, and corporate tax procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills; ability to manage large amounts of data and establish facts and figures.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, to explain tax laws to non‑tax professionals.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High integrity and professionalism with commitment to ethical practices.
- Proactive problem‑solving and sound decision‑making based on accurate analyses.
