Jacobs is seeking a Senior Cost Controls Professional to support project cost controls and reporting. The ideal candidate will work from the Phoenix, AZ or Portland, OR office, with consideration for candidates located on the U.S. west coast.

Jacobs utilizes advanced enterprise systems and data analysis solutions to support service excellence.

• Perform the controls for the Program and all associated projects and manage the overall program cost controls and reporting function.
• Interface with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Office Planning, IT, Accounting, Economics and Finance, Tax, Contracts and Legal to facilitate compliance with execution strategy and cost efficiency.
• Provide status reports and related project reporting analyses to company and client management.
• Identify problems and coordinate with the project team to ensure coordination between departments and offices to meet cost requirements.
• Prepare project cost controls plans and reports, financial summaries, and related activities for project management on assigned projects.
• Manage work processes and procedures for cost management.
• Evaluate projects at each stage to ensure cost and financial activities meet client/contractual obligations.
• Review contract drafts and related terms and conditions to ensure cost controls requirements are met.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field.
• At least 10 years of related cost controls experience.
• Experience working on various projects with coordinating and executing project issues.
• Specific experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis.
• Experience in project controls and financial issues with emphasis on cost management.

• Program-related experience.
• Excel macro skills, databases (MS Access), Power BI and dashboard development.
• Experience with Primavera P6 resources loading.
