OverviewIntuit is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as dedicated Turbo Tax Live Seasonal Local Service Experts in new Turbo Tax locations across the United States on a seasonal basis. As a Turbo Tax Live – Seasonal Local Service Expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor, empowering customers to achieve positive financial outcomes while supporting Intuit’s mission of “Powering Prosperity Around the World.”
Aboutthe Role
Work on‑site from a Turbo Tax location, serving customers both in‑person and virtually using Intuit Turbo Tax products. Leveraging your tax expertise, provide full‑service tax return preparation, tax advice, calculations, and software support. Handle simple W-2 filings, life‑event scenarios, complex business income, amendments, or investments, serving as the go‑to expert for clients. Additionally, grow Turbo Tax’s client base locally through relationship building and community engagement.
This is a non‑exempt role requiring onsite presence on a seasonal basis.
- Provide tax expertise – give hands‑on advice and complete preparation services for Turbo Tax clients, handling simple to complex situations such as personal and business income, deductions optimization, and amendments; facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, maximize refunds, and offer future tax‑planning advice.
- Be a proactive community ambassador – embody a “community ambassador” and “business owner” mindset, cultivate a robust customer base, actively engage prospects, nurture leads, and convert them into long‑term clients through outreach and local events.
- Educate and communicate confidently – represent Turbo Tax confidently in the community, host learning events, participate in local marketing, and demystify taxes to make them accessible and approachable.
- Build relationships – connect with people, demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to their financial concerns, and build long‑term trust that transforms a one‑time transaction into a multi‑year relationship.
- Deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience – create an exceptional experience, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping clients achieve financial goals; interact with customers in‑person and via Intuit’s video tools, addressing inquiries and overcoming tax challenges.
- Possess active, unrestricted credentials: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or practicing attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
- Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law.
- Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per season using professional tax software.
- Familiarity with Circular 230.
- Willing and available to work a static weekly schedule of at least 24 hours per week at a Turbo Tax location.
- Interest in building a local and online social presence as a Turbo Tax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content for the community in accordance with Intuit policies.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
- Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond filing.
