WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Financial Analyst for our Funding and Financing Strategy Service group in our Chicago office . The following locations will also be considered:
Atlanta, New York City, Boston, Denver, Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, and open to other offices

The Senior Financial Analyst role is a senior position within the Economics, Finance and Grants team, which offers great opportunities for professional growth. You will work directly public and private organizations across the country to fund and finance their infrastructure projects and initiatives, driving both project delivery and business development for the group.

Your Impact
  • Developing strategies to offer financial planning services across all end markets
  • Manage and oversee the development of financial models
  • Overseeing and performing quantitative analyses and data analytics
  • Analyzing financial needs and opportunities for public agencies
  • Analyzing project and program funding and financing options
  • Researching funding and financing industry trends
  • Evaluating funding and financing alternatives and priorities
  • Developing the business case for infrastructure investments
  • Overseeing the development of reports, memorandums, and client ready documentation
  • Lead client meetings and workshops
  • Tracking, reviewing, and interpreting federal legislation and guidance
  • Providing strategic support in all phases of infrastructure planning and project development
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proven experience managing projects
  • Strong understanding of inflation and cost drivers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated research skills and experience
  • Ability to think creatively, work independently, and deliver high quality work with minimal oversight
  • Ability to lead teams, synthesize problems, and communicate point of view and analytical results
  • Manage time efficiently while supporting multiple projects in parallel
  • Proven experience in transportation, infrastructure, and related sectors
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Office’s suite of applications and their higher level capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Planning, Public Policy or related disciplines
  • Familiarity with financial aspects and challenges of energy, water, and property and buildings, mining, and other infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of federal and state-level infrastructure policy and funding
  • Strategic planning experience

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $102,000 - $181,720
