Role OverviewWe are hiring an Investment Strategist to lead investment strategy, implementation, and communication across the firm. The Investment Strategist plays a central role in both client experience and firm visibility, serving as a trusted voice on markets, portfolio strategy, and long‑term investing.
The Investment Strategist is responsible for shaping and communicating the firm’s investment philosophy, preparing and delivering investment recommendations, and leading investment focused client meetings. This role works closely with Associate Advisors, advisory leadership, and the broader team to ensure investment strategy is fully integrated into each client’s overall financial plan.
In addition to client work, the Investment Strategist contributes to external content, education, and media, helping translate complex market concepts into clear, confidence‑building guidance.
Responsibilities- Lead investment strategy development and portfolio construction in partnership with advisory leadership.
- Prepare and deliver investment recommendations aligned with client goals, risk tolerance, and long‑term plans.
- Oversee portfolio implementation, rebalancing, and ongoing investment management.
- Serve as a client‑facing investment expert and educator.
- Lead investment‑specific review meetings, including the investment‑focused stage of the firm’s Elevation Method.
- Participate in broader planning meetings to support investment discussions and recommendations.
- Translate complex market and portfolio concepts into clear, confidence‑building guidance for clients.
- Partner closely with Associate Advisors who serve as primary relationship managers.
- Collaborate on client preparation, meeting materials, and follow‑up related to investments.
- Support advisors in addressing client questions, concerns, and behavioral coaching.
- Develop and communicate the firm’s investment philosophy and market perspective.
- Participate in podcast episodes, recorded content, and educational events.
- Create and contribute to short‑form video, written commentary, and market updates for clients and prospects.
- Serve as a visible, trusted voice of the firm’s investment approach.
- Conduct investment research and due diligence across strategies, managers, and asset classes.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk, and alignment with firm models.
- Refine and document investment processes to support scalability and consistency.
- Five or more years of experience in investment management, portfolio strategy, or wealth management.
- Strong comfort presenting to and educating clients on investment strategy and markets.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, engaging manner.
- Experience leading client meetings or investment reviews.
- Deep understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management.
- Securities licensed with Series 7 and Series 66 or Series 63 and 65 required.
- Professional designations such as CFA or progress toward CFA preferred but not required.
- Confidence appearing on video, audio, or live presentations.
- Strong alignment with a long‑term, disciplined investment philosophy.
This role offers a starting base salary in the range of $70,000 to $80,000, depending on experience. In addition to base pay, team members are eligible for performance‑based bonuses, revenue contribution incentives, and firmwide production bonuses, allowing total compensation to grow with impact and responsibility. Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, and participation in the firm’s 401(k) retirement plan.
This is not a behind‑the‑scenes investment role. The Investment Strategist is a key voice of the firm, both internally and externally. You will help shape how clients understand investing, how the firm communicates its philosophy, and how investment strategy integrates with life planning.
