Multnomah Athletic Club is more than Portland’s most legendary hub of sports and socializing. It’s like a small city unto itself. You’ll find four restaurants, three pools, a climbing gym, state‑of‑the‑art studios and a fitness suite, a complex of racquet‑sport courts, massage offerings, a boutique, plus a grand ballroom and a variety of event spaces all in one place. The MAC salon is open to the general public.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the beauty industry, a keen eye for style, and exceptional customer service skills. As a Salon Stylist, you will provide a range of hair‑care services, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and maintaining the standards of the Multnomah Athletic Club.

This is a commission‑based, full‑time, fully on‑site role at our club in Portland, OR. Stylists must be available to work Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am–2:00 pm, Monday 7:00 am–3:00 pm, and Tuesday 10:00 am–7:00 pm.

• Perform hair cutting, styling, and coloring services in accordance with client preferences and industry trends.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized recommendations for hair care.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the beauty industry to provide innovative and modern services.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring a professional and inviting atmosphere for clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and personalized care.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other spa and wellness team members to provide a seamless and integrated experience for club members.

• Valid cosmetology license.
• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
