Senior Clinical Research Assistant / Project Coordinator

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; flexible (daytime, evenings, weekends as required). Work hours typically Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5 pm with evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
Function/Duties of PositionThe Developmental Brain Imaging Laboratory (DBIL), under the direction of Dr. Bonnie Nagel, seeks a full-time project coordinator to support an ongoing longitudinal NIH‑funded study of healthy adults in the National Consortium on Alcohol & Neurodevelopment in Adolescence Adulthood (NCANDA‑A). The coordinator will be heavily involved in regular monitoring, retention, and scheduling of study participants, as well as project oversight, including written interactions with the NIH and local IRB.
Responsibilities include assisting with study visits (neuropsychological and behavioral assessment and acquisition of structural/functional MRI data), training and daily oversight of staff performing these duties to ensure protocol adherence and high‑quality data, and overseeing administrative tasks such as managing project databases, data entry, maintaining study documentation, and general office duties.
Required personal attributes include a strong work ethic, independent operation, team support, and leadership, with effectiveness in task organization, priority setting, deadline met, multitasking, constructive interaction with faculty and staff, adaptability, creativity, and quick learning. Daytime, evening, and weekend availability will be required as needed.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in behavioral science field AND 1 year of relevant experience OR Associate's and 3 years of relevant experience OR 4 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 1–3 years prior research and/or clinical experience.
- Proficiency with software such as Excel, REDCap, SPSS, and E-Prime.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; regular interaction with research participants and study staff.
- Effectiveness in task organization, priority setting, multitasking, independent work, constructive interaction with faculty and staff, adaptability, creativity, and quick learning.
- Advanced degrees.
- Background in psychological or neuroimaging research.
- Project coordination/management experience.
- Experience working with adults.
